Kayaking on the Bay

May 24th, 2006 | Category: Blog

It’s a great time of year to go kayaking…the water in the mornings is usually perfectly still. You can kayak in the bay or go sea kayaking. Either way, there’s plenty of wildlife and lots to see. This picture is of one of our guests kayaking right in front of “At the Bay’s Edge”.

Some of our guests bring their own kayaks, or you can rent one at Bodega Bay Kayak. Have Fun!

Horseback Riding

May 15th, 2006 | Category: Blog

Horseback riding is very popular in Bodega Bay and throughout the Sonoma Coast.

Chanslor Ranch is one of the most popular stables, and is only a few miles from “At the Bay’s Edge”. They offer trail rides and beach rides, as part of a group or for a private party. They also offer pony rides and riding lessons…so there’s definitely something for everyone. Have fun!

Fisherman’s Festival Fun!

April 9th, 2006 | Category: Blog

It was an overcast day but everyone was in a festive mood for the 33rd annual Fisherman’s Festival….we had a party here “At the Bay’s Edge” to watch the parade of boats go by. The fishermen celebrate the opening of salmon season by decorating their boats and then going out to sea for the official blessing of the fleet. The festival ran through the weekend and also included arts, crafts, music, food, and entertainment. Great fun was had by all.
